The client list, the check-ins, the forms they filled in, the meal and workout plans you wrote: every bit of it is data you created. If you ever switch coaching software, that history should come with you. When it does not, moving platforms means leaving years of each client’s story behind.
Most coaching platforms make this harder than it should be. You can usually print a single plan or download one report, but taking your whole coaching history out in one structured package is rarely a button you can find. I looked at what ten platforms officially let coaches take with them in an earlier post on fitness coaching data export, and the short version is: less than most coaches expect.
So I started building the missing piece. There are now working local exporters for Kahunas and Trainerize. They run on the coach’s own laptop, open a browser, let the coach log into their own account, and save a structured ZIP locally. They never ask the coach to send me a password or upload their coaching data to me.
I want to build the next one where a real coach actually needs it. So if you are trying to export your coaching data from Everfit, TrueCoach, MyPTHub, or HubFit, email me at yash@assistantcoach.fit and tell me what is trapped. Yours could be the platform I build for next.
A local fitness coaching data exporter is a small tool that helps a coach save useful records from their own coaching-platform account into a portable package on their own laptop. That can include clients, intake forms, submitted forms, check-ins, meal targets, workout plans, workout sessions, exercises inside those plans, and the links that show which plan was assigned to which client.
Here is the current position in plain English:
| Platform | What I can verify today | Exporter status |
|---|---|---|
| Everfit | Individual workouts and form responses can be exported as PDFs, but there is no documented way to export the whole workspace at once. | Looking for a pilot coach |
| TrueCoach | Client contacts can be exported as CSV, while workouts and programs can be printed or emailed. | Looking for a pilot coach |
| MyPTHub | Some reports and individual records can be downloaded, but the full structured migration path is unconfirmed. | Looking for a pilot coach |
| HubFit | The platform holds rich coaching data, but whether the whole workspace can be exported at once is unconfirmed. | Looking for a pilot coach |
| Kahunas | A local exporter is already available and has been tested against real coach accounts. | Available now |
| Trainerize | A local exporter is already available and has been tested on a separate coach laptop. | Available now |

Why I Am Asking Coaches Before Building the Next Exporter
Every coaching platform has its own shape.
One stores check-ins as forms; another attaches them to a calendar. One keeps meal plans as daily food rows; another stores only calorie and macro targets. A workout plan can nest phases, weeks, supersets, notes, videos, and completed results.
That means an exporter should not be built from a homepage feature list. It needs a real account with enough history to reveal how the data actually behaves.
Kahunas taught me this when a coach account had hundreds of clients and the client list was split across many pages. Trainerize taught me different lessons around plans, sessions, nutrition targets, and client-side records. Each real run made the next run more reliable.
My rule for the next exporter is simple:
- A real coach must need it.
- Their current export must leave behind records that matter.
- They must be willing to test the exporter locally and confirm the numbers.
- Ideally, another coach on the same platform should confirm the same problem.
I am deliberately not building another exporter until that demand exists. Not because the problem is unimportant, but because the best exporter is built around real coaching data, not guesses.
What an Everfit Data Export Tool Could Preserve
Everfit is a full coaching platform: clients, workouts, forms, nutrition, measurements, and progress. Its help centre documents how to export or print an individual workout as a PDF and export form responses as a PDF.
Those are useful exits for single records. They are not a complete Everfit data export for a coach moving their business.
With an Everfit pilot coach, I would want to preserve:
- Every active and archived client.
- Intake forms and submitted answers.
- Check-ins, body measurements, and their dates.
- Client-assigned calorie and macro targets.
- Assigned workout plans, sessions, and prescribed exercises.
- Which records belong to which client, without copying Everfit-owned libraries.
Everfit’s Data Processing Addendum says a trainer may export or delete personal data when the service ends, but it does not describe the self-serve workflow or the format you get back. That gap is exactly what a pilot needs to test, not assume.
If you searched for Everfit data export or how to move from Everfit to another coaching app, email me at yash@assistantcoach.fit. Your account may be the right pilot, especially if you have historical forms, check-ins, nutrition targets, and workout plans that the normal export does not keep together.
What a TrueCoach Data Export Tool Could Preserve
TrueCoach offers more documented export options than some platforms.
Its help centre explains how to export active or archived clients to CSV. It also explains how to export workouts by email and print a program as a PDF.
That is genuinely useful. A client CSV plus printable programs beats no exit at all.
But a coach considering a complete TrueCoach migration may still ask:
- Does the client export preserve custom fields and the active or archived state?
- Can assigned programs be linked back to the right clients?
- Can check-ins, questionnaires, and assessments be preserved as submitted forms?
- Can workout sessions and exercise instructions stay structured rather than becoming a stack of PDFs?
- Can historical completed workout results be preserved?
That last one matters most. Completed workout history is valuable, but it sits outside the deliberately small first version of the Fitness Coaching Data Standard. A TrueCoach pilot might be exactly what shows the standard needs to grow.
If you need a TrueCoach data export or are trying to move clients and programs out of TrueCoach, tell me which parts of the official export are not enough. I will only build the tool when I can test those needs against a real account.
What MyPTHub and HubFit Coaches May Need
MyPTHub and HubFit belong in this conversation because both are used to run real coaching businesses, not just store contact lists.
MyPTHub lets coaches download some reports, including a client nutrition report, plus some individual records. What I have not found is one export that keeps clients, forms, check-ins, plans, assignments, and history together in a structured package.
HubFit publicly describes a platform with client management, check-ins, nutrition, training, forms, and progress tracking. Its client help documentation shows that the client directory is a central part of the product. What I am missing for HubFit is a real coach account to test against and enough demand to justify building an independent exporter.
For both platforms, I need evidence from the people who feel the problem:
- What does the platform currently let you download?
- What important records are missing?
- How many active and archived clients do you have?
- Are you moving now, planning a backup, or simply checking that you are not locked in?
- Would you be willing to compare the final export counts with what you see in your account?
If you need a MyPTHub data export or HubFit data export, don’t just cast a vote. Tell me, in a line or two, what you need to take with you.
What I Have Already Built for Kahunas and Trainerize
This is not just an idea for a future tool.
The Kahunas data exporter and Trainerize data exporter are publicly available today. I have also documented why the industry needs a shared Fitness Coaching Data Standard and audited the official export paths across 10 fitness coaching platforms.
The two working exporters follow the same privacy-first idea:
- The coach runs the tool on their own laptop.
- A browser opens.
- The coach logs into their own account.
- The exporter reads the records the coach can already see in that account.
- A structured ZIP is saved locally.
- The coach checks the record counts before considering the export complete.
The Kahunas and Trainerize tools are independent. They are not made by, sponsored by, affiliated with, or endorsed by those platforms. Any future Everfit, TrueCoach, MyPTHub, or HubFit exporter would follow the same principle and would only be used by a coach for their own account and data.
The output is designed around coaching records rather than around Assistant Coach. Import and export remain separate. A coach should get control of their data first, then decide where it goes.
How to Ask Me for the Next Fitness Coaching Exporter
Email me at yash@assistantcoach.fit.
Please include four things:
- The coaching platform you use.
- Roughly how many active and archived clients you have.
- The records you most need to preserve.
- Whether you are willing to test the first version on your own laptop and confirm the final counts.
You do not need to send me client data, login details, screenshots with private information, or your password. A plain description is enough to start.
I cannot promise that I will build every requested exporter. I can promise that I will use real coach demand to decide what comes next, and that any tool I build will start from a simple belief: fitness coaches should have full control over the data they create.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I export all of my coaching data from Everfit?
Everfit documents individual PDF exports for workouts and form responses, but I have not found a documented self-serve export for an entire coaching workspace. If you need a fuller Everfit data export, email me with the records you need and the approximate size of your account.
What can TrueCoach officially export?
TrueCoach documents a client CSV export and ways to print or email workouts and programs. Those options are useful, but they are not the same as one structured export of clients, assignments, forms, check-ins, workout plans, and history.
Is there a MyPTHub data export tool?
MyPTHub supports downloading some reports and individual records, but I am currently looking for coaches who need a more complete migration package. I will only build a dedicated exporter if real MyPTHub coaches confirm the need and help verify it.
Can HubFit coaching data be exported?
HubFit stores clients, forms, check-ins, nutrition, and training data, but I have not yet verified a complete self-serve structured workspace export. A real HubFit coach account and expected record counts would be needed before building and validating an independent exporter.
How would a local fitness coaching data exporter work?
It would run on your own laptop. You would log into your own platform in a browser window, and the final coaching data ZIP would be saved locally. The tool would not ask you to send your password or upload your coaching data to me.
How can I request the next coaching data exporter?
Email yash@assistantcoach.fit with the platform you use, roughly how many clients you have, what records you need to preserve, and whether you would be willing to test the first version on your own laptop.
